Willis Creek - Sheep Creek Ride
Cost: $125 per person
Length:
5 to 6 hour ride
This ride goes through Sheep Creek in the Paria River drainage area to the narrows of Willis Creek, where ancient Indian petroglyphs can be seen along the canyon walls. Sections of the Willis Creek narrows are barely wide enough for a horse to pass through! From Willis Creek, we'll travel through Averett Canyon named for Elijah Averett, a young Mormon soldier who was killed by Indians in 1866. We'll pass his grave and monument. Children must be at least  10 years old.

Rock Spring's Draw - Paria Ride

Cost: $145 per person
Length:
6 to 8 hour ride
From Rock Spring's Draw, across the bench, then along the Johnson Hole Trail to the Paria River. The Johnson Hole Trail is an old stock trail that was built in the early 1900s to take cattle and sheep from the high country to the Paria River area. We'll stop at Crack Springs at the bottom of the trail for a cold refreshing drink of water. Then we'll continue up the Paria River to see some ancient Indian petroglyphs at the confluence of Rock Springs Draw. Children must be at least 10 years old.

Horseback Riding Tour of Rock Springs Draw and Snake Creek


Rock Spring's Draw - Snake Creek
Cost: $145 per person
Length:
7 to 8 hour ride
This ride follows some of the same trail as the Rock Spring's Draw - Paria Ride. At the bottom of the Johnson Hole Trail, we'll ride along the benches overlooking the Paria River. At Snake Creek Canyon, we'll see two ancient Indian ceremonial caves and get a drink from a fresh water spring. From above, the red rock canyon looks like a red snake, giving it the name Snake Creek CanyonChildren must be at least  10 years old.

Rock Spring's Draw - Sam Pollock Arch

Cost: $200 per person
Length:
8 to 9 hour ride
On this ride, we'll leave Rock Spring's Draw and ride down through the neck into Death Valley. We'll ride through cedar and pinion country, then through Stone Donkey Canyon to the Sam Pollock Arch, named after a local sheepherder who discovered the rock formation. An ancient Indian cave is located next to the arch. Children must be at least  10 years old.
